Celtics PG Rajon Rondo has the most commonly mispronounced named in the league. Network announcers usually say it 'Ray-John' but
Celtics fans maintain it should be 'Rah-John.' To further complicate matters, this official
NBA page suggests 'Rye-John.' RYE-JOHN?!?
And can someone give me a straight answer on Andray Blatche while we're at it?

FWIW, I call him ray-sjon (the sj makes a "z" sound)
haha, I call him rondeezy - another one is Antawn Jamison (supposed to be Antoine like Walker)
The ambiguity around the pronunciation of his name fits perfectly with the bizarreness of his game. I love watching Rondo because he's so confusing. The guy puts up great point guard stats and has the shooting percentage pattern of a big man (great from 2, horrible from 3, and 60% from the free throw line).
@Seth: it's the fake-behind-the-back -pass that gets me. So good. I'm also fond of his punch-Brad-Miller-in-the-face move.
@Read: Does anyone call him 'Anton' though? I always assumed that was just creative spelling/idiocy the same as Dywayane Waydye.
Heard it on Dan Patrick show, his parents wanted it Antoine but the doctor misspelled it on the birth certificate and spelled it Antawn, and they just never changed it officially. And yeah, it took a whole year of fantasy basketball for me to realize I had been misspelling Dwywane's name haha
